What is the difference between PCD and tungsten carbide (TC) drawing dies?
TC dies offer the best value and impact resistance for coarse and medium wire, rods and pipes, especially steel and stainless. PCD dies are the workhorse for non-ferrous and fine-to-medium wire (copper, aluminium, alloy) with longer service life and a wider bore range (about 0.02–20 mm).
How do I choose the right die material for my wire?
Send us your wire material, inlet and outlet diameter, draw speed and daily volume. We match TC, PCD, ND or CVD and confirm the bore profile and casing before production.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ) and lead time?
MOQ is flexible — from a single prototype die to volume batches. Standard dies typically ship in 7–15 working days; custom and shaped profiles are confirmed case by case. Common TC/PCD blanks are kept in stock for fast delivery.
Can you make custom and shaped-profile dies?
Yes. We make shaped, stranded, enamelling, tinning, shaving, bunching and pipe/bar dies, including special hex, rectangular and custom profiles made to your drawing or sample.
What types of wire drawing machines do you supply?
Straight-line dry drawing machines (typically 9 drafts), pulley, wet-drawing and inverted vertical machines, plus pay-offs, take-ups, descalers, butt welders, annealers and complete turnkey lines.
What is wire drawing powder used for, and calcium vs sodium soap?
Dry drawing powder forms a lubrication film between wire and die, lowering friction and temperature and extending die life. Calcium soap resists high temperature/pressure (high-carbon & stainless); sodium soap flows better for high-speed/fine wire. We recommend the grade by your material and process.
Which markets do you export to and how is shipping handled?
We export across the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia and beyond, with shipment from Shanghai / Ningbo ports and full export documentation. Tell us your destination and we confirm incoterms and lead time.
